Studio 54 c0-founder-turned-hotel tycoon Ian Schrager has done it again.  Edition’s latest hotel has taken over an historic building in central London’s Fitzrovia district – and does it justice, to say the least.  Dripping with luxurious details, ‘English’ character and ultra-modern design, the London Edition has put its thumb on the pulse of London’s OTT vibe (this apparently stands for Over-The-Top).

For starters, the nightclub is located in the basement and is called ‘Basement’.  It also happens to be the coolest spot in town these days.  Second, the lobby is more like a lounge where you want to hang out all day on the plush velvet sofas, where you will probably see Cara De Levigne or Kate Moss gabbing away.  The dining room is a feast for the eyes and the taste buds, with renowned chef Jason Atherton serving up British cuisine in its hautest of forms.  Then there are the decadent wood-clad suites with their own private terraces.  Who couldn’t picture themselves nodding off to sleep at sunrise after a night of one-too-many?  No wonder this place has been dubbed one of London’s top party pads.
