Where Zanzibar meets Holland in Cascais.

This vegetarian restaurant is located in the centre of Cascais, occupying an entire 3-floor building of different eating and sitting areas both indoors and out.  Named after Zanzibar’s first palace to ever have electricity, House of Wonders Café Galeria is a ‘first’ of its kind in Cascais, envisioned by Dutch-owner Anna.

The bohemian mashup of colours, pillows, art and ceramics instantly welcomes you to relax and enjoy a healthy plate of grilled pesto veggies, stuffed courgettes, mushroom risotto, a slice of eggplant quiche, a bottle of organic beer, or whatever is else is featured that day (the menu changes daily).

Or just order some tea and head up to the rooftop terrace where you can watch the sun set behind the Cascais harbour.
