Beagle first as a novel in 1968 and then as a film in 1982 — with a stellar cast (Mia Farrow, Jeff Bridges, Alan Arkin, Christopher Lee, and Angela Lansbury) — it’s my Go-To book whenever I want to escape into a comforting world where unicorns run free and fall in love with princes. What? That could happen.
